2009 EVENT DESCRIPTION
The 5th Annual WomenCook! Dining for a Difference event brought 500 people together with eleven of the most talented female chefs in Denver for an evening of exquisite culinary delights. Proceeds from the event, including sponsor and individuals’ donations, ticket sales, and silent auction purchases, totaled over $84,000.
Work Options for Women is grateful to everyone who made the event a success, raising needed financial resources to support the WOW program’s “recipe for success.” The WOW program combines hands-on food service training at two food service establishments with case management, job placement, and follow up services, implementing what research shows are best practices in job-training to help students move from poverty to self-sufficiency.

EVENT HISTORY
WomenCook! Dining for a Difference has become one of Denver’s most anticipated events. The chefs love the close interaction with guests, as “foodies” explore the wonderful offerings at each table. Each year half of those in attendance are repeat guests. Everyone who attends loves the opportunity WomenCook! provides to taste great food and support an important cause. After the inaugural event in 2005, Temple Emanuel leadership invited WOW to conduct WomenCook! in their hall. Use of this beautiful and convenient space has provided the perfect setting to grow the event each year.
